MidTown Reno or MDR is a non-profit classified as a “501(c)(6)” is tax-exempt but contributions made to a 501(c)(6) are not deductible as charitable contributions. That being said the contributions paid to MDR can be considered a deductible business expense. MDR has to let their contributors aware of this so that they aren’t confused thinking that MDR operates as a 501(c)(3).
